Robert F. Kennedy Jr. plans to appeal after a judge ruled he should not appear on New York’s presidential ballot.

The independent candidate falsely claimed a New York residence on nominating petitions despite living in California, the judge said.

If the judge’s decision is upheld, it would not only keep Kennedy off the ballot in New York, but it could also lead to challenges in other states.

The ruling was partisan, Kennedy said.
