At the Tamarisk Assisted Living Center in Warwick, Rhode Island, Florence Katz, 100, is eager for the arrival of Marcel Ginsete.

Marcel, 6, has been visiting for day dates.

The pair met months ago since his mom works there – and the two became fast friends – playing all sorts of games together.

There’s some friendly competition between the two, along with balance and bonding, a lot of love and laughs.

Florence says having a visitor and someone to count on has been heartwarming – especially since things were so lonely during the pandemic.
