Schenectady Police looking for suspects in tire slashings in the MOnt Pleasant neighborhood.

Schenectady Police are investigating at least 26 incidents of car tires being slashed in the Mont Pleasant neighborhood.

On Dec. 28, officers responded to multiple reports of tires being lashed during the overnight hours on Norwood Avenue, Willett Street, Van Cortlandt Street, Pennsylvania Avenue, Dewitt Street and Vermont Avenue. In addition, police said two vehicles were stolen during the same period on Van Cortlandt Street. Both vehicles have since been recovered.

On the morning of Sunday, Jan. 5, officers responded to more reports of tires being slashed on Bridge Street, Pennsylvania Ave., Santa Fe Street, Ten Eyck Avenue and Van Cortlandt Street. Police believe all these incidents are related.
