South Glens Falls man arrested on drug charges in Albany.

A South Glens Falls man is facing drug possession charges after an Albany traffic stop.

Richard A. Friedman, 58, was traveling on Clinton Avenue at Lexington Avenue in the city of Albany at about 6:10 p.m. on Monday, when he was stopped for a traffic violation. After searching the vehicle, deputies found a crack pipe and a half-ounce of crack cocaine, the Albany County Sheriff’s Office said.

Friedman was arrested and charged with two felony and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was taken to Albany County Correctional Facility and will appear in Albany City Court on Jan. 2.
