UAlbany falls to South Dakota State in national semifinal 59-0

The University at Albany football team was shut out for the first time this season 59-0 by top-seeded South Dakota State in the FCS national semifinal.

The Great Danes were 22 ½-point underdogs against the Jackrabbits, the reigning national champions who are unbeaten this year. The Jackrabbits jumped out to a 35-point lead by halftime, which included a 79-yard punt return for a touchdown. UAlbany quarterback, Reese Poffenbarger, threw for 232 yards, completing 30-44 pass attempts. Poffenbarger also threw three interceptions.
