‘World of Barbie’ opens in Southern California

Break out your favorite pink high heels – a new Instagrammable attraction in Southern California invites visitors into the World of Barbie.

The immersive installation at Santa Monica Place mall in Santa Monica includes a life-size Barbie Dreamhouse with closets full of favorite Barbie fashion from over the years. There’s also a camper van built by West Coast Customs, a TV studio and even a Barbie-branded space shuttle.

There’s also a pink carpet for visitors to strike their favorite Barbie poses, a hair salon and movie theater that’ll be playing what organizers call “classic Barbie content.”

The World of Barbie opens to the public April 14, with Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling set to hit theaters in July.
