Virginia woman jumps out of moving Lyft amid terrifying ride

A northern Virginia woman jumped out of a moving Lyft car after the driver refused to take her to her destination, she said.

It happened Saturday afternoon.

The woman, named Katlyn, said she immediately realized something was wrong.

The driver almost hit the person in front of him, she said, then put a different destination in his GPS, away from where she was headed.

He then refused to answer any questions.

At one point, the car slowed down and she saw her chance.

Katlyn says she reported the incident to Lyft, and that they told her they were taking her concerns seriously.

However, she said Lyft deactivated her account the next day, because she jumped out of the car. She says she had to protest several times to get it restored.

Her tweets about the experience have now gone viral. She doesn’t want anyone else to have a similar experience, she said.
