Averill Park deciding between ‘Lakers,’ ‘Golden Knights’ for new mascot

Averill Park School District is down to its final two choices for its new mascot.

A final survey to choose the new mascot is open for voting.

The two finalists are the Lakers and the Golden Knights.

You can cast your vote until the end of the day on Wednesday, May 22.

The district announced they would dissolve the “Warriors” nickname in June 2023.
