Ballston Spa group raises money to enrich schools
Ballston Spa Education Foundation is a group of volunteers, parents, school board members and teachers that raise money for things not covered by the school budget.
Teachers submit applications by February for things that would enrich the educational experience. Then BSEF members meet to pick the applications they believe affect the most students. After that, they raise money all year to fund those ideas.
The big holiday fundraiser that just wrapped up exceeded the goal of $6,000.
NewsChannel 13 took part in that online auction – providing a tour of the station as one of the auction items.
Donations can be made all year on BSEF’s website, and they are always looking for volunteers to help support our educators.
