Parents and students from Catskill were rallying at an emergency board meeting on Monday evening.
Parents and students from Catskill were rallying at an emergency board meeting on Monday evening.
This comes after what they said is unfair action being taken against the Catskill High School’s principal and music teacher.
Parents who are upset believe that the music teacher and principal were suspended after telling a student to tape their mouth shut.
The student spoke out saying she did not take the teacher’s comments seriously and was not offended by it.
The school district has not gone into specifics, saying in part this is an ongoing investigation, and they take all allegations seriously. However, the possibility of both the principal and teacher losing their job has sparked outrage from the public.
