East Greenbush schools remain in lockout because of threats made earlier this week.
The superintendent addressed parents directly during Wednesday’s school board meeting, stressing that the school buildings are safe.
The nurse’s office at Goff Middle School received one of these calls this week.
The lockout means no unknown visitors can enter all school buildings and no students are permitted to leave. That means no outdoor recess.
Superintendent Jeff Simons said he’s been receiving questions from some parents about why the district is not detailing the nature of the threats.
Sharing the threat would compromise the investigation, he said, and would potentially fuel further threats.
