The Troy Fire Department visited School 18 Tuesday for Fire Prevention Month.

Students learned about essential firefighting equipment and the importance of having a family escape plan, got to see how firefighters put on their turnout gear, and even got to check out the inside of the fire truck.

Firefighters across the region have been making visits to schools throughout the month of October.
