Free car seat check being held in Latham on Wednesday

The Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee will be making sure every New York child is safe while on the road.

There will be free car seat checks on Wednesday, April 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the State Police headquarters on Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will be there to see if the seat is properly installed and is the correct one for the child’s age, size and vehicle type.
