Gov. Kathy Hochul has announced $100 million in funding for zero-emission school buses.

The governor said the money is coming from the Clean Water, Air and Green Jobs Act. The program will provide funding to make buses that reduce greenhouse gas emissions overall.

State officials said their goal is to reduce emissions by 85% by 2050.
