Incoming Eagle Scout’s creation helps to keep seniors’ minds sharp

RICHMOND, Ky. – As Boy Scouts get ready to earn their Eagle Scout title, they’re challenged to complete a community project.

One newly named Richmond, Kentucky Eagle Scout decided to help out the senior community with some new tasks to keep their minds’ sharp.

Curtis Relich, a proud member of Boy Scouts Troop 73, created special “Busy Boards.”

They are simply pieces of wood adorned with engaging challenges – testing and sharpening seniors’ dexterity and cognitive skills at an adult home.

The boards were hand crafted by Curtis and Troop 73 to stimulate residents’ minds and maybe get a few memories of when they lived on their own.
