Keeping ‘bed rotting’ in check

Bed rotting is when someone decides to spend all day in bed, scrolling through social media or binge-watching their favorite show.

Younger people are embracing it as a form of self-care, but it can turn negative for mental health – especially if it’s being embraced to avoid social interactions.

Parents are encouraged to keep an open dialogue with their kids about mental health, and get help from a medical professional if a child is showing signs of depression or anxiety.
