STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Children between the ages of 7 and 10 years old recently got a three-day crash course at Stony Brook University – just outside of New York City – learning how healthy foods get to the table and how to prepare them.

All of them are learning the connection between garden and table.

The hope is if the kids learn how to prepare healthy meals, it will help promote healthy eating in life.

Learn about some of what the students are making and hear their reactions by watching the video.
