There’s a new kind of summer camp in Saratoga County. It’s called Camp Stomping Ground and it allows more choice for campers than a traditional summer camp.
Camp Stomping Ground is in Middle Grove. It’s the former Camp Boyhaven boy scout camp. More than 500 kids will be there this summer, two weeks at a time. It offers all the traditional camp activities while also helping kids learn to make choices.
They want them to be radically empathetic decision makers and learn how to resolve conflict on their own.
Camp Stomping Ground is offering scholarships through Kelly’s Angels to two children who’ve lost a parent or sibling to cancer or have endured another significant type of adversity.
