Schenectady launches new programs for students as school year starts

Ten thousand kids in the Schenectady City School District have returned to the classroom.
All students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch.
The district has new programs and opportunities for students to take advantage of this year.
One concern for the district this year was recruiting and hiring more faculty members. The district was able to hire 125 new teachers over the summer.
