The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is sending out encouragement to appreciate school resource deputies.

Thursday, Feb. 15 was National School Resource Officer Deputy Day.

The sheriff’s office said on Facebook they are dedicated to serving the schools and their communities.

Each school resource deputy is committed to keeping the schools safe and fostering positive relationships with the students, the office said.
