A local high school baseball pitcher has committed to North Carolina on a full athletic scholarship.

Sean Hurley, who is just starting his junior year at Shaker High School in Colonie, had about 40 schools to choose from. After a phenomenal summer pitching for All-Star Academy, Hurley landed with the Tar Heels.

Hurley, who has been battling through injuries the past few years, is 6 ft., 5 in. tall, and throws in the 90s. That velocity gets noticed at the next level.
