A Tamarac High School student has received a big honor.

Sarah Raymond, a 12th grader, just received the prestigious National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program Award.

This is given to students who make big contributions and promote positive changes to their community.

Sarah dedicates herself to improving her town and has made a positive impact to her school through her leadership skills and commitment to small town values, Brunswick Superintendent Angelina Maloney said.
