Ingrid Besante worked her way up from working in the lobby of a Queens McDonald’s as an immigrant from Ecuador to a corporate position.

Besantes came to the country when she was 20. She worked her way up to become a shift supervisor at the restaurant.

She relocated upstate when her daughter went to college and continued to climb the corporate ladder.

“They gave me the power of knowing myself and develop career skills, people skills, leadership skills,” she said.

Now she’s back at McDonald’s as an operations consultant for the company.
