When teacher Lakeisha Vincent returns to school in September, she has quite a story to tell her students on how she spent her summer vacation.

She was promoting her first children’s book. Writing the book was something she’d wanted to do for a long time.

The book, “Kekaloo Imagines”, is a story of a little girl whose imagination wanders whenever she visits her grandparents’ home. It’s a nod to the fun Lakeisha had as a child whenever she visited her grandparents.

Now that the first book is under her belt, this math teacher from the North Colonie School District isn’t ruling out more books-maybe even a math adventure.
