An Albany home was damaged by fire, early Saturday morning.
The fire broke out just after 1 a.m. at 6 Thornton Street, Fire Chief Joseph Gregory said. The building is a 2.5-story wood-frame structure that was vacant.
Gregory said the “fire was well-involved upon [fire department] arrival,” and the “bulk of the fire was knocked down quickly.”
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Gregory said he thinks the building will now be demolished.
