The keynote speaker at yesterday’s event was a woman who returned to biking just four months after suffering a stroke back in 2016.
She says cycling is a way to build back strength after dealing with the effects of a stroke. She also graduated from Albany Academy in 1984.
The entire trip is 4,300 miles and will take 100 days. The riders plan to stop in 16 cities hosting community events across the country.
