5,000 air purifiers purchased for Albany County schools

Clean air in schools is a big part of keeping kids safe when it comes to preventing the spread of airborne diseases.

Albany County Executive Dan McCoy announced the purchase of 5,000 portable air filtration units for K-12 classrooms across the county.

Nearly 4,100 air purifiers will be delivered to public schools, with the rest going to private and charter schools.
