According to our media partners at the Berkshire Eagle, Taconic High School graduate Stephanie Wilson is set to make the trip.
The paper reports she’s already logged more than 42 days in space throughout her career, more than any other African American astronaut.
According to a news release from NASA, the mission is slated to take the first woman and first person of color to the moon.
If the six-week demo succeeds, astronauts could fly around the moon in less than two years’ time.
