Judge to decide on future of Bob Baffert as horse trainer

Bob Baffert’s future as a horse trainer in New York State is now in the hands of a judge.

The New York Racing Association wants to suspend him from racing at Saratoga, Belmont and Aqueduct because of his history of doping violations.

In closing arguments at his disciplinary hearing on Friday, NYRA said Baffert has a playbook– misstate facts, blame others and avoid responsibility.

Baffert’s attorneys point out the drug violations happened outside New York.

No word on when the judge will issue his decision.
