Opponents of a cell tower in Pittsfield say tonight the city’s attorneys have a conflict of interest, and they’re asking a judge to weigh in.
Our media partners at the Berkshire eagle report a group of residents asked a Berkshire superior court judge to issue a default judgment in a lawsuit over the city’s handling of a cease and desist order. This was brought on by the board of health against Verizon Wireless in April.
At this time, the motion asks that a local law firm be disqualified from representing defendants.
It claims one of the defendants, the city solicitor, is a partner at the firm.
No word yet on if the judge has made a decision.
