Albany police have taken more guns and drugs off the streets, after two separate investigations focused on the same area.
The arrests came after search warrants were used to enter two homes on Southern Boulevard Wednesday.
Police say they made the first arrest after searching a home a little after 10 a.m. at 168 Southern Boulevard.
Lawrence Badi, 33, from Albany was charged with two separate counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Then around nine hours later, police say a drug investigation led them to search a home at 58 Southern Boulevard, where they found a 9mm. handgun and a .45-caliber handgun.
They also recovered a large quantity of crack cocaine, fentanyl and heroin.
Two more people – Tahshiron Gaddy and Rauwshan Richardson – were arrested, and charged with multiple offenses.
All three men are in Albany County Jail.
