Proposed Guilderland Costco clears another hurdle

GUILDERLAND – Costco is one step closer to coming to Guilderland.

A state appeals court ruled in favor of the town of Guilderland on Thursday, and against an environmental group trying to stop the construction.

A panel of the State Appellate Division, Third Department ruled the Guilderland Planning Board did take a hard look at the environmental impact of building the 160,000 square foot store.

This appears to be the final hurdle for construction to begin on the store and an apartment complex near Crossgates Mall.
