Schenectady GOP Committee Chairman Matt Nelligan announces candidacy for mayor

There’s a new candidate throwing his hat into Schenectady’s mayoral race. Schenectady Republican Committee Chairman Matt Nelligan is going to run against current Mayor Gary McCarthy.

Nelligan is pledging to focus on quality of life issues and competence in government.

He’s arguing that high crime, street cleaning, and lack of infrastructure are plaguing Schenectady.
