KeyBank Foundation invests big in workforce development

The KeyBank Foundation is investing more than $1.4 million to support workforce development and home ownership initiatives in the Capital Region.

The Social Enterprise and Training Center will get $325,000. It provides workforce programs to underserved young people 17 to 24.

The money from this grant will be used to boost the YouthBuild Schenectady and Albany Programs.
Around $600,000 is heading to the Ellis Hospital Foundation, to fund the Ellis Promise Plan. That program addresses two significant needs -attracting and maintaining a sustainable and diverse workforce.

The Troy Rehab & Improvement Program will get $300,000 to help connect families with resources to live in desirable homes.

There will also be $200,000 going to Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless. The money will support IPH’s community-based programs.
