Sunmark helps local charities

Employees at a local credit union are helping people in need.

Sunmark Credit Union employees are doing their part to help local charities.

More than 180 employees contributed a combined $14,000 to area organizations in 2022.

It was all done through the credit union’s employee donation program “make your mark for charity”.

This voluntary contribution program allows employees the option of a bi-weekly donation.

A staff survey decided which organizations were picked.

And the money headed to groups like the Regional Food Bank, boys and girls clubs of the Capital Area, and Special Olympics New York.

Funds received through the program are either given as a monetary donation or used to purchase supplies or other “wish list” items requested from the organization.
