NewsChannel 13 salutes Army PFC Joseph "Red" Paulo of Johnsonville.

He served as a cook in Germany during the 1940s.

He was a father of six, grandfather of 13, and great-grandfather of 17.

Together with his wife, he was a foster parent to 100+ kids.

He also served 65+ years in the Johnsonville Fire Department and 50+ years in the Johnsonville Ambulance Service.

He passed away in March at age 94.
