Albany woman charged with abandoning cat in duffle bag

Albany Police have arrested the woman they say abandoned a cat – leaving it in a duffle bag.
Lisa Lindo is charged with animal cruelty.
Lindo left the cat in a duffle bag style carrier and put the animal near garbage cans on Sherman Street near Henry Johnson Boulevard, police said.
The cat named Newt is in good health and was adopted shortly after it was found.
