Red Cross assists families after fires

The Red Cross is helping four people after a fire in Schoharie County.
The fire broke out early Friday morning on Route 443 in Gallupville.
The Red Cross says it is helping two adults and two children that were affected by the fire.
According to the Gallupville Fire Department’s Facebook page, the fire was contained to a small area in the attic and second floor.
The tenants that lived in the other side of the duplex were able to return to their residence.

The Red Cross is also helping a family in Hoosick Falls, after a fire on Scott Street. Two adults and a 14-year-old lived in the home.
According to the Hoosick Falls Fire Department’s Facebook page, several crews responded to the scene to knock down the fire.
No injuries were reported.
