Additional charges are possible against Kevin Monahan, the man accused of shooting Kaylin Gillis, said Washington County District Attorney Tony Jordan.
The upcoming trial for Kevin Monahan will determine a possible motive, said Jordan. His office will be working diligently on the case.
“It’s important to keep in mind today the defendant is presumed innocent, but know that my office will do everything in our power to ensure that justice is served for Kaylin Gillis and those that were with her that day,” Jordan said.
If there are additional charges, it would be while evidence is being collected in the trial. It could include attempted murder.
Jordan also made sure to thank first responders, saying the night they responded to Kaylin’s death, it was especially hard on them, as many were from or know the people from the tight-knit community.
