A judge has ordered police to arrest Albany Empire owner Antonio Brown over unpaid child support, TMZ reported.
This involves a case out of Broward County, Florida.
NewsChannel 13 has a call in to the Broward County sheriff hoping to get confirmation of the TMZ story.
Brown ducked out on $30,000 in child support payments that had been required to be made to his ex, Wiltrice Jackson, TMZ reported.
Jackson and Brown were dating one another during Brown’s playing days with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They had a daughter together.
If Brown is arrested, he’s to be held in jail, but he can be released from custody if he hands over the $30,000 to Jackson, TMZ reported.
The news is the latest in a string of controversies involving Brown.
He recently got into a heated argument with a security guard during halftime of a game at the MVP Arena.
He was also being sued by a jeweler who claims Brown stiffed him for more than $1 million.
NewsChannel 13 hopes to get a comment from Brown as soon as we can.
