The defense in the trial of Kevin Monahan, the man accused of killing Kaylin Gillis, believes the judge should have considered Monahan’s history in the community, and that those ties would ensure he doesn’t flee if he’s released.
Defense Attorney Kurt Mausert, and Washington County District Attorney Tony Jordan argued over whether judge Adam Michelini considered all the appropriate factors when he held Monahan without bail.
However, Mausert says he respects the judge’s argument. His focus is now on preparing for a possible trial as his client remains behind bars.
