Bennington man charged with DUI after crash

A man from Bennington was arrested for crashing his car while allegedly driving under the influence.
Vermont State Police responded to a report of a car crash in the town of Guilford, they said, and found Robert Ely, 59.
He’s due in Vermont Superior Court later this month.
