Fort Plain man charged in pipe bomb investigation

A Fort Plain man was arrested, after a report of a pipe bomb in the village.

Police got a report of a pipe bomb in a car on Main Street on Thursday of last week, they said.
This led police to close several streets while they investigated.

The scene was deemed safe several hours later and roads were opened. An investigation led police to the home of Gregory Campione, where police found the explosive device, they said.

Campione was arrested, charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
