Schenectady Police investigate after woman found dead Sunday morning

Schenectady Police are investigating after they responded to 1030 Pleasant Street early Sunday morning and found a woman dead.

Around 5:18 Sunday morning, May, 28, 2023, Schenectady County dispatchers got a call for a female in-need of medical attention.

Members of the Schenectady Fire Department along with officers from the Schenectady Police Department responded and found a female in her 40’s, who was unconscious.

The woman was pronounced deceased on scene, Schenectady Police said.

Schenectady Police detectives are investigating the case as a homicide.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending the notification of family, and there is no suspect yet.
