Hoosic Valley changes name to Hawks
The Hoosic Valley School District, in Rensselaer County has a new nickname.

People in the district and students have picked, the Hawks.
Next month a committee involving the community and students will help with the mascot design and branding.
Hoosic Valley had been known as the Indians.
