Power mostly restored after strong storms zap power to 12,000+ Capital Region customers

Most customers that lost power on Monday due to strong thunderstorms had it back by later in the evening.
At one point, more than 12,000 customers were out in the Capital Region.
Albany and Schenectady counties appeared to be the hardest hit areas.
Many of the outages were blamed on problems with transmission lines near Curry Road, according to National Grid.
