For the second time this month, families are rallying to save the Burdett Birthing Center in Troy.
A rally took place on Wednesday evening at 5 p.m.
NewsChannel 13 has also received emails in support of the birthing center remaining open.
St. Peter’s Health Partners, which owns Samaritan Hospital, announced plans last month to close Burdett.
They said COVID-19 had a significant impact on the center, from limiting staffing to straining finances.
A large crowd gathered at the Empire State Plaza a couple of weeks ago to protest the closing. They were adamant that Burdett needed to remain a part of the community.
