Report: Niskayuna police chief resigns

NISKAYUNA – The Niskayuna Police chief is calling it quits.

In an email obtained by the Times Union, Chief Frances Wall says her promotion as the first woman to hold this role in Schenectady County was "window dressing."

She says the town board would not support her when she tried to move the department in a more progressive direction.

Chief Wall took over the position last August.
