Nauman Hussain’s attorneys ask for bail while they appeal Schoharie limo crash conviction
Nauman Hussain wants to be released after serving a little more than three months in prison.
He was the operator of the company involved in the 2018 Schoharie limo crash that killed 20 people.

One of Hussain’s attorneys, Lee Kindlon, confirmed with NewsChannel 13 on Wednesday morning his client will be asking a New York State Supreme Court justice to release him on bail, while he pursues an appeal of his conviction.

Attorneys for Hussain are scheduled to argue for bail in the case before State Supreme Court Justice John Egan on Friday, Kindlon said.
It is not out of the ordinary for judges to grant bail to defendants if it is likely their prison sentence will end before the appeal process is over.
Hussain was convicted of 20 counts of manslaughter in May, in the Schoharie limo crash. He was sentenced to five to 15 years in state prison.
