Man put in handcuffs after large police presence on Union Street in Schenectady
A man was put in handcuffs after an incident at 1628 Union St. in Schenectady.
The first floor is a vacant storefront, but there are apartments above.
Police were called to the area for a distraught man who was suicidal with a firearm, they said.
They surrounded the building, you could see them on guard with their guns out.
NewsChannel 13 recorded video of the man as he was being arrested, just before 7 p.m.
In the video, you can hear him cursing and shouting, “Look what you’ve done. You got me arrested.”
It took several police officers to get the man in the car.
They’re thankful no one was injured, they said.
The investigation continues.
